Week 2: Tools for success

Rock’s Cool had their second meeting yesterday and it was a
Jam packed session. Within the first hour students learn meditation, planning for success, finding your niche and all the help you get from all different types of mentors. Diane gives an enlightening example of how meditation can help calm the body and focus
mind. This valuable life tool dismantles self doubt and is a compass which points towards life goals.

After absorbing all the stories shared and valuable experiences,
pizza arrives and Rohan delivers a master class on guitar string repair and tuning, a tool any musician needs in their tool kit. The vibe of the room starts to ooze with creativity and the class breaks off into groups and moves on to explore music and enjoy
a jam session.

Life tools, Guitar tuning and Pizza. All of this and there is still time for a quality jam session. If you missed it, Don’t fret, because this is only the beginning, next jam is week 8, April 5th.

Week 1: The First Night & The First Knight: Rohan Reece and his vision becoming a reality.

The first gathering of the Rock’s Cool commenced on the 15th of March. The first class was just an introductory insight into what the students will be seeing in the future. Rohan, the lead musician and director gave a lot of info on the different pathways available within the music industry, whether it be performing, producing, or working on the business side of the industry. Rohan has an extensive history with music, providing a lot of interesting facts for the students to learn from. Diane also plays a huge role in the Rock’s cool UC group; although she doesn’t have a music background she deals with more of the realistic side of the music industry. There was a great turn out to the class. There was a great number of students ready to get mentored. As they all introduced themselves with a description of their musical backgrounds, from a variety of singers, producers, rock stars, to those who have experience in their music career and are there for more insight in the music industries.
